In the country of football, athletes from other sports overcome far more challenges than we can imagine. And in the year men’s football was left out of the Olympics, we realized it was time to see that our land has many more stories worth applauding.
The Esportes da Sorte campaign celebrates the flame some Brazilians carry to overcome every barrier. It’s a tribute to those who made it, and a proud look at those about to land in Paris.
Getting to know a bit of each athlete’s story connects us on a personal level, inspires us and fills us with pride. It was deeply moving to learn more about these journeys and help all of Brazil recognize so many victories.
Oscar Schmidt: The legend who dribbled past the impossible and marked basketball with his inextinguishable flame.

Diego Hypolito: Every jump, every victory, a triumph over adversity. His journey is our inspiration.

Terezinha Guilhermina: Speed that transcends barriers, a race that redefines what’s possible.

Márcia Fu: From a challenging childhood to the world’s courts, she is proof that Brazilian determination knows no limits.

On our side, there were plenty of challenges to overcome too. One of them was trying to hold back the tears during the shoots. Luckily we weren’t alone, neither in the production nor in the emotion.
